Account Deletion Request
This page explains how users of the SM Driver and SM Client mobile applications can request deletion of their account and associated personal data.
1. Delete your account in the app
SM Driver app
- Open the SM Driver app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap the delete account (trash) button.
- Confirm deletion when prompted.
- Your account will be deactivated and you will be signed out.
SM Client app
- Open the SM Client app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap the delete account (trash) button.
- Confirm deletion when prompted.
- Your account will be deactivated and you will be signed out.
2. Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, you may request account deletion by emailing us at privacy@smartmobility.me with the subject line Account Deletion Request.
Please include:
- Your full name
- The email address registered on your account
- Which app you use (SM Driver or SM Client)
- Your mobile number (if applicable)
We will process verified requests within 30 days.
3. What data is deleted
When your account is deleted or deactivated, we remove or deactivate access to:
- Account profile information (name, email, phone number)
- Driver profile details (vehicle information, ID number, profile photo) for driver accounts
- App login access and push notification tokens
- Active session and authentication data
4. What data may be retained
Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, including:
- Trip and booking records required for billing, accounting, tax, or dispute resolution
- Records required to comply with legal or regulatory obligations
- Information already anonymized or aggregated for analytics and reporting
Retained data is kept only for as long as necessary for these purposes.
